Ancient Rome vs Today
The Ancient Romans were smart like we are today, they invented tools to make life easier, they sent their children to school, and they had big armies. But they were different, apart from the obvious like no electricity and therefore no machines. The Romans had different gods, they worshipped over 30 different gods compared to today when we in New Zealand have one God, and our life isnt based around the belief that God does everything for us unlike the Romans. The Romans had a small population of 1 million which was large by standards of their time but we now have 4 million in half the space they conquered. Our buildings are massive with the help of machines we have buildings 100 metres tall which the Romans could never have managed. But our architecture isn't as beautiful, the Romans created some beautiful buildings, most of which are gone, also if we would like to attend a festival we are welcome but at some Roman festials some types of people (e.g. men) are not allowed. And lastly the Romans were bent on conquering all of the known world we're as these days we mostly live in a life of harmony.
